Sometimes things are too fresh, too dark or maybe too deep to talk about. In some of these cases we use metaphors. To say the things that can't be said. Whenever you hear the following in pop-culture, it can be applied to my life story, in the context of 'The Zeitgeist': June/14/85 - when I was born. Hedgehog - spiky hair and the way I dress (jeans/jean-jacket), one of my favorite games growing up was sonic. Mario - red, mustache, Peach, Japanese. Bear - kind heart. Bitch/women - meek and unwilling to engage with some provocateurs. Trains/trans/trinity - my last name. Vampire - first name, the bringer of change, sucking the life/transforming everyone that comes into contact with me. Hamas-Israel: my ex was raped in October 2024. Red/blue/orange - Red = Canada, Vietnam, Redit (my dog) - Blue = my best childhood friend Vu - Orange - my ex's favorite color. 3/4/5/6/7/8 = 3 (last name), 4 (my ex might've been raped by 4 men), 5 (year in the decade I was born, and something to do with China and the middle way) - 6 (Vu's family home (beyond 5)), 7 (my ex almost had a baby in July). 8 (85). 45 - the length of the rape video -Van, August 27, 2025

Thoughts on the beach: Why is it synonymous with the word bitch? Or peach? Is it because they sound the same? Or they come from similar origins? I mean, it's at the edge - between land and water - where people can't get to you, can't take advantage of you... Or maybe it's a metaphor, to teach us lessons through linguistics/meaning, to help us navigate the rough waters. Or as they say, maybe it's the sand in your eyes. -Van, August 25, 2025

Pierre posted this yesterday, I've watched it all the way through and here are some quick thoughts. It's a video on perseverance, moving forward and getting back up when you're down. With lots of emphasis on God, especially in the opening and at the end of the video. His tone has changed quite a bit since the last time I've listened to him. I think it's in a good direction.
